Ciao amici,

Happy 2025!

This week’s actionable tip:

Look out for exit taxes in 2025!

These are taxes imposed on individuals or businesses when they leave a country, change their tax residency, or transfer certain assets out of the country.

It is an often overlooked factor in the decision-making process for relocation.

I am working on an in-depth guide so you have all the most current knowledge on these matters.

Stay tuned.

But in the meantime, the key point is this:

All EU countries nowadays have exit taxes, but some have well-crafted exemptions and applicability criteria, such as having lived in the country for 7 out of the last 10 years.

Others do not have such provisions.

The key point is that this topic is often overlooked by tax advisors.

Although Europe will become progressively uniform in tax exit regimes, currently not all exit taxes are equal and there are numerous exemptions that could significantly impact your financial situation.

It’s a good idea to monitor this if you plan to become a tax resident in Europe.

In other news, my top X post this week was a deep-dive into India’s brain drain.

It sparked many interesting discussions and revelations in the comments.

The main takeaway for me was that there was a deeper story that was quite hidden from plain sight:

Reservation and caste.

If you’d like to understand more about this complex topic, I wrote a short post breaking down this paradox.

But in researching this topic further, something became abundantly clear:

X is truly the platform of truth.

Is it perfect?

No.

But the distribution of otherwise hidden and crucial information is unparalleled.

We’re seeing it daily, many unspoken topics revealed for open discussion.

And perhaps this is the great theme for 2025:

The democratizing of pivotal knowledge.

At least, that is my mission – to provide you with the key information to unlock global freedom.

Let’s make 2025 one for the ages!

Hoping you’re having a wonderful Saturday.

Alla prossima!

Ale
